Our commitment in Haiti started in 2010. Ever since, we have collaborated with several organizations to create a positive and sustainable change in the lives of children. Our most current project is collaborating with Restavek Freedom Foundation. We are inspired and moved to join them in ending the cycle of restavek. Restavek is a child in Haiti who is sent by his or her parents to work for a host household as a domestic servant. This occurs because the parent lacks the resources required to support the child. Restaveks are often mistreated, lack food and education and live very challenging lives. For more information on restavek please visit:http://www.restavekfreedom.org

We work with the children to empower them to learn about their health and bodies. It has been amazing to hear their questions and concerns. Many don’t have adults in their lives to teach them about healthy relationships, basic anatomy or even the changes that occur during puberty. There is a large need for health education. We are working towards filling this gap in their lives.
