Hurricane Matthew strikes Haiti
According to the United Nations an estimated 1.4 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance in Haiti in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew and at least 1,000 people have lost their lives. Operation Unisson has been collaborating with a local organization for almost two years in Port Salut, a coastline town in Western Haiti that has been severely affected by Hurricane Matthew. The people of Port Salut make a livelihood on their farmland, all of which was destroyed by Matthew. Additionally, thousands of homes have been damaged, road access is limited, and drinking water sources have been contaminated. Cholera cases are being reported. We need your help. Your donation will help purchase medical supplies, clean water, food and shelter for the thousands of people affected.
